DSI plans arrest warrant for Nenkham

Tarit Pengdit, chief of the Department of Special Investigation, considers issuing an arrest warrant for Luang Pu Nenkham as soon as he is forced out of monkhood.

Wherever he is, Wirapol Sukphol, better known as Luang Pu Nen Kham Chattiko – could also face an extradition to face charges at home for the alleged raping of the under-aged and money laundering, Tarit said.

He told reporters on Saturday that once the patriarch in Si Sa Ket nullifies Nenkham’s monkhood on Monday, the DSI would discuss on the detail of the arrest warrant.

He said that on the day, a woman who alleged Nenkham of raping when she was under 15 would officially file her complaint with the DSI.

He admitted that there could be some delays in tracking the monk’s assets as some were transferred before the scandal broke out.

There is a high possibility that he would be extradited as raping the under-aged and money laundering are serious crimes in many countries, he said.
