As we reported last night, pop icon Madonna took a nasty tumble while performing onstage at the Brit Awards, and as we again reported earlier, the 56-year-old could well have been left muttering, “That’s gonna hurt come winter” after her fall.

As to what caused her fall, it seems that the cape Madonna was wearing became entangled in the horns that one of her dancers was wearing, and as she sang “I let down my guard”, a line from her hit Living for Love, she was dragged backwards and landed heavily at the foot of the steps.

Oh irony, you are a one…

However, though Madonna later took to Instagram to insist that she was fine, and to thank her fans for their messages of support, insiders reckon that the singer was “livid” over the drama.

And having explained that Madonna had had a whole team working on the Armani cape nonstop for days, an unnamed source told the Daily Mirrorthat Madonna “stormed out immediately after her performance”.

The insider added, “Her team were left to pack up and ship out sharpish…

“When she fell, the room fell silent. The atmosphere wasn’t as if someone had died, it was as if someone had been massacred.”

As mentioned above, Madonna wrote online, “Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight!

“But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes!

“I’m fine! #livingforlove.”

Meanwhile, the Twittersphere positively exploded with amused tweets about the incident, and comedian Alan Carr wrote, “That Minotaur that dragged Madonna down the stairs is SO unemployed right now.”

However, there was one post – from Aaron Davison on Twitter – that we’ve been tittering at for hours now…

“Following her fall at The Brits, Madonna has unwittingly invented a new genre of music. Hip-Op.”

Another wrote, “Literally watched madonna’s lil indecent 6 times and it gets funnier every time omg i’m going to hell.”

Well, you and me both then Twitter user, but at least it’s warm and there’ll be people I know there.

However, another Twitter user came over all grassy-knoll about it, tweeting, “THEY TRIED TO KILL HER?!? # BRITAwards # Madonna.”

Yes, that’s exactly what happened. Assassination via the medium of a cloak is the new anthrax after all…

But without further ado, here’s a look at the moment poor old Madonna went ar*e over t*t at the Brits…

Miley Cyrus has entered a porn festival.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker has submitted a short film, ‘Tongue Tied’ – which features the scantily-clad star in a number of suggestive poses while wearing bondage gear – to the NYC Porn Film Festival, which begins later this month.

Festival founder Simon Leahy told the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six Column of the entry: ”It’s a pop take on S&M. She’s starting to become more of a contemporary artist.”

In the video, the 22-year-old singer – who is dating Patrick Schwarzenegger – dons a blindfold, is tied to a chair with her nipples covered by black tape, and has her legs constrained with straps.

The film was directed by Quentin Jones and was released online in May, before being used on Miley’s ‘Bangerz’ tour last year.

According to the festival founder, Miley heard about the festival through a mutual London-based friend and sent in the footage.

It is not expected the ‘Party in the USA’ hitmaker will attend the event, which is sponsored by the free video site PornHub, and runs from February 27 to March 1 at Secret Project Robot.

The festival will be arranged like a gallery with a bar, and visitors will be able to see amateur and professional work from international filmmakers.

The opening night party will feature a Tila Tequila sex tape and some independent videos.

Kim Kardashian has sold everything from sex tapes to weird hair supplements, but there’s always been a pretty transparent reason for her shilling: cold hard cash, plus the spectre of momager Kris Jenner lurking in the background.

But Kim’s signed herself up to do a massive load of selling during this year’s Super Bowl, having partnered with T-Mobile to get everyone to use more data on their phones.

Here’s her official Super Bowl commercial, which will air this Sunday evening (or early Monday morning here in the UK) in one of the ad breaks.

In the skit, Ms Kardashian West deplores the “tragic” under-use of phone data, “data you could be using to see my make-up, my back-hand, my outfits, my vacations… my outfits”, and begs phone users to start consuming their unused data. And it’s actually quite funny.

She also strolls around an all-white art gallery with some of her Instagram snapshots framed on the walls, and there’s some sad piano music in the background that really adds to the feel of it.

Britney Spears shares a big smile for the cameras while out and about on Wednesday afternoon (January 21) in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

The 33-year-old pop icon was making her way to the gym to work on her physique.

While at the gym, Britney fit in a bit of a swim and made a joke about doing it professionally.

“Putting in work in preparation for my tryout for the US Synchronized Swimming team. Rio here I come…” she tweetedalong with a video.
